Technical Director of Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club Of Lagos, Alex Coppolani has explained why Super Eagles Coach, Genor Rohr took his time to visit the club recently in Lagos.

Coppolani in a chat with our correspondent said the club owner, Prince Kazeem Eletu sent an invitation letter to the Eagles chief coach and he accepted the invitation to come to Lagos to give pep talk to the players and coaching crew led by Coach Gilles Hugon.

While he was in team’s camp at Osapa, Lekki, Lagos, Rohr met the club owner and had a closed door meeting with him and thereafter went straight to the pitch and educated the players and coaching crew the importance of football and how the players can succeed in their chosen career.

“Let me say real reasons why Super Eagles Coach Genor Rohr visited us recently. First and foremost, he saw the way we played against Flying Eagles in a recent friendly match before they went to WAFU Cup and he was impressed with the team’s performance and secondly the chairman of the club, Prince Kazeem Eletu invited him personally to come and give the players pep talk which he was obliged.

“While he was with us, Rohr interacted with the players, coaching crew and discussed many issues that benefited the management and players. I must confess that I was impressed the way and manner Rohr addressed us and the players were highly motivated to see the Eagles coach in their midst.

“Let me use this medium once again to thank Rohr for honouring our invitation and I wish him best of luck in his coaching career and pray to qualify Nigeria for next Africa Nations Cup and FIFA World Cup in Qatar,” he said.

Meanwhile Prince Kazeem Eletu FC are currently preparing for invitational tournament scheduled for next month in Morocco.

The club has played series of friendlies in preparation for the tournament and recently they lost 0-1 to a Lagos based premier club, MFM in a friendly match played at Agege Stadium, Lagos.
