Head coach of Clique Sport coach, Adams Ojediran has revealed how his boys defeated Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Academy in a friendly match played recently at the Eagles Club football pitch, Surulere, Lagos.

Clique Sport managed to beat Unlucky Eletu boys 1-0 in a friendly match which watched by fans and football administrators of both teams.

Ojediran in a chat with our correspondent said he was happy that his boys played to his instructions which pave way for their victory. He said both teams played good football but noted that his team controlled the midfield which helped them to run away with the victory.

“I commended my boys for this victory. They played to my instructions and their marking was excellent throughout the encounter. We tried as much as possible to control the department of the midfield and our marking is another factor that really helped us to achieve our result. By and large the game is developmental match and both teams really played good football,” he said. Head coach of Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Academy, Oluwadamilola Idowu expressed satisfaction with the team performance despite the defeat. He commended his players for their fighting spirit saying that both teams played good football but better side won at the end of the day.

“We had a good game against our opponents. My players really tried their best in terms of performance. I am not really bothered about the result but I am more interested in their progress. We may lose the game but I am proud of my boys for playing to my expectations. I need to work on grey areas I have identified before our next game,” he said.

Meanwhile Olanrewaju Lekan goal in the 26th minutes was all Clique Sport needed to beat Eletu boys in an entertaining friendly game.

Eletu who fought hard to stage a comeback missed some scoring chances. Chinedu Okonkwo came close to scoring in the 48th minutes but failed to put the ball inside the net.
