In its bid to intensify their preparation ahead of the Morocco Invitational club tournament schedule for next year January, Prince Kazeem Eletu FC over the weekend humbled Pepsi Football Academy in a friendly match played at Agege Stadium.

The friendly match which was watched by an appreciable crowd ended 3-0 in favor of Prince Kazeem Eletu FC.

Kelechi Nnajiofor opened the scoring through a header when he received a flank pass from Daniel Mbonu to cheer their fans to victory in the 14th minutes.

Abayomi Eletu’s second goal in the 24th minutes ended the first half 2-0 in favor of Prince Kazeem Eletu FC.

The second half saw the Pepsi Football Academy played better, controlled the game for a while as they created more scoring chances but failed to convert their chances.

Both teams gave good account of themselves but Eletu‘s powerful shot from distance made it a third goal to confirm their supremacy over Pepsi Academy in the 78th minutes.

The effort by Pepsi Academy to reduce the tally proved abortive as their opponent ran away with the victory.

“It was a good match for us and our opponents are more mature, played good football, and took their chances. We equally played well and created scoring chances which would have converted. It was not a bad match for us because this is the fourth friendly matches we played after COVID-19 compare to our opponents who have been in camp for many months,” he said.

In his own remark, Prince Kazeem Eletu FC مدرب, Gilles Hugon expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the match but noted that he still needs to work on the team before the Morocco tourney.

While team coordinator, Lateef Ogunfowora commended the players for their victory saying that the team can still do better in their subsequent friendlies.
