Prince Kazeem Eletu Academy, striker, Usman Onagbola has expressed confidence that his hat trick against LOF United in a recent friendly match was clear indication that there are better days ahead of him in the club.
Eletu Academy demolished LOF United 8-1 in a friendly match played at the Eagles Club, Surulere, Lagos.
A 14 years old player, Onagbola popularly known as Oshimen was elated to have scored three goals in a match boasting that his current form would be a threat to any opponents that confront Eletu in subsequent friendlies.
“This is my best game so far. I have not scored three goals in a match before and scoring a hat-trick showed that I have a brighter future in Eletu. I won’t stop here because I want to score in every match I play for my club,” said Onagbola who warned his opponents to beware of his current form.
Onagbola who was caught the attention of football fans dedicated his hat-trick to his mother and entire staff and management of Prince Kazeem Eletu family. He confessed that without his teammates, he could not have scored three goals in a match.
“I dedicate my three goals to my mother, our club chairman, Prince Kazeem Eletu, my able team manager, مدربing crew and my teammates for their support given to me throughout my stay in the camp. This is the best moment of my career and I wish to do more for the club in the subsequent matches, he said.
Meanwhile, Habeeb Balogun opened the goal scoring through penalty kick in the 9th minutes. Onagbola and Igwe David scored two goals to end the first half 3-1.
The visiting team got two penalty kicks as Yusuf Rilwan scored one of it, while Fuad Alabi missed the second penalty.
Chinedu Okonkwo and Dayong Elisha recorded one goal each to make it eight goals thriller for Eletu boys.
LOF United مدرب, Olorunnibe Rafiu admitted that his team met a strong team and congratulated Eletu boys for their victory.
“We tried to catch up with our opponents but they were too technical, strong in all departments. I have learnt a lot from this game and I think it is time for me to work on my team in preparation for next friendly matches,” he said.
