This is not the best of time for Team 360 Football Club following 1-6 scandalous defeat suffered in the hands of superb Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club in a friendly match played recently at Agege Stadium.
Before the encounter, nobody thought Prince Kazeem Eletu FC would disgrace Team 360 FC in an encounter watched by scanty football fans.Peter Onuhoa opened the goal account in the 13th minute to take the lead.
Team 360 FC quickly responded when Jacob Hungbo fired a shot from the outside to bring the game to 1-1 in the 23th minutes.
Both teams have missed scoring chances but Akinlade Olanrewaju made it second goal for Prince Kazeem Eletu FC in the 28th minutes as pulsating tie ended 2-1 in the half time.
The second half was a different ball game as Prince Kazeem Eletu COACH, Gilles Hugon made some tactical change which saw Precious Agu and Isaac Samuel scored each goal to make it fourth goals for the Eletu boys.
Sulaiman Lawal who came in the second half fired a powerful shot from the distance to beat Team 360 goalie to make it fifth goals. The effort of Team 360 FC to reduce the tally was abortive as their opponents controlled all department of the field.
Agu who was delighted to watch scored the last goal in the 84th minutes to make it sixth goals for Prince Kazeem Eletu FC.
The defeat is a serious setback for Team 360 FC who are using the friendly match to prepare for Surulere regional league that would commence next Tuesday at Agege Stadium, Lagos.
Team 360 COACH, Shola Raji said the defeat was a wakeup call noted that his players did not live up to expectations in the second half which cost the team embarrassing defeat. He described his opponents as a good side saying that he would go back to drawing board and correct the mistakes before the Surulere Regional League.
Head COACH of Prince Kazeem Eletu FC, Gilles Hugon expressed happiness with the outcome of result. He said collective effort, determination and hardworking on the part of management and players gave them the victory.
“What gave us victory today (Tuesday) was a collective effort of the COACHing crew, club chairman and players themselves. We were better in all departments today and our tactical change really helped us to get the victory. I congratulate my players for their wonderful performance and I wish them to keep it up in our subsequent matches,” he said.
DIRECTEUR TECHNIQUE, Alex Coppolani expressed happiness with the outcome of the game. He said his team deserved the victory and commended the players for the job well done. He also commended the team’s COACH for his tactical discipline instilled on the players which yielded good result at the end of the day.
“It was a good match for us because the players and COACHing crew did an excellent job. The COACH really worked hard on the psyche of the players and it was paid off at the end of the day. I congratulate the boys for this historic feat because it has been a long time we have scored more than five goals in a friendly match of this magnitude,” he said.
