Head coach of Prince Kazeem Eletu Academy, Oluwadamilare Idowu was full of praises after his team put up a good performance against Dominion Hotspur Football Academy in a recent friendly match played at Eagles club, Surulere, Lagos.

Eletu Academy were  a delight to watch as they defeated Dominion Hotspur Academy 2-0 in a friendly match watched by appreciable football fans.

Idowu in his reaction commended his players for giood disply but admitted that their opponents gave them a good fight throughout the encounter.

“It was a tough friendly match for both teams. Aside the scoreline, my players did extremely well and I must commend their doggedness, tactical display and high level of commitment showed throughout the pulsating tie,” he said.

Idowu said the friendly match opened his eyes to some areas he needed to work on his team and congratulated his players for giving account of themselves against their opponents. He assured Eletu fans all over the country that the both senior and academy would continue to do well in their outings.

Dominion Hotspur coach, Lanre Fawehinmi admitted that their opponents played good football and deserved the victory. He commended his team for giving their opponents a run for their money throughout the encounter.

Meanwhile, the pulsating tie lived up to expectations as both teams played purposeful football. After goalless draw in the first half, Eletu began to mount pressure on their opponents in the second half. Paul Okoro who won the man of the match was brought down in the inside box as Oboh Raymond converted the penalty kick in the 48th minutes.

The Eletu boys who were resilience in the game got their second goal in the 68th minutes through Abdullahi Rasheed. Eletu goalie, Kelechi Eneh was an hero as he saved penalty kick taken by Samuel Okiki in the 74th minutes.
